Our family loved the motel. The owners were very inviting and friendly. They went the extra mile while we were still out sightseeing for the day, they had turned our room lights and heater on before our return. That's what I call service. The resort is very beautiful with seaview scenery from our balcony and also when relaxing in the spa. Nice pool area for young children and bbq facilities around the resort. There was even a gaming room. Although it was winter when we travelled this would be an ideal place in Summer. Great full kitchen in our room, serviced daily.
Everything was great, but it was odd seeing a leveled shower but I think it was designed for families with younger children who enjoy baths instead of showers which I think was clever. But other than that, it was worth the stay.
The staff were really friendly when we arrived and very informative and helpful in terms of things to do in Paihia.
I liked the relaxed atmosphere and the facilities. The rooms were pretty cool too and very spacious!
The room was very spacious and clean. Also it was very private and quiet which is why we went away for the weekend.
We were a little surprised that we did not have access to the Maori Television channel, especially being so close to Waitangi.
How accommodating they were, We upgraded to another room, which was lovely and had great views.
Nothing but the hot water could of been a bit hotter.
It was a quiet location with a decent view and a nice pool.
A little outdated and limited internet access.
Friendly, helpful manager. Good range of facilities for a Motel. Excellent location close to local attractions
Quite close to main road, some noise during day. A little light pollution at night from headlights, but quieter than in the daytime.
A very comfy, cozy spacious room. Greeted and explained where to go by the hotel owner which was a nice touch. The hotel has a nice view of the bay and is a 10 - 15 walk down or up a steep hill into town.
The sink in the bathroom was blocked, and we made the mistake of leaving food out for a few mins, big mistake we came back from having a snack on the balcony to an army of ants in the kitchen.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, though most of the time was spent out boating out on the water. We found it a perfect place to come "home"to.
Lovely view from balcony and big spacious room
Hotel at the top of the hill so really only useful if you have a car with all your bags etc , although easy enough to walk up and down hill into town for dinner. Older style hotel but rooms are therefore a little larger. Modernised a little. Comfy bed. Staff helpful and cheery. Great advice about local cafes etc.
we were around the back so no overlooking the pool or the bay but very quiet room, Would have been nice to be closer to pool.
The hotel was very accessable from the main road in the resort and very quiet. The swimming pool was very good as we had children with us
a number of the bulbs in the bathroom and bedroom were not working RM 12.
The relaxing surroundings of being at the resort...Lovely people..
Large comfortable room and excellent location for Bay of Islands.
